The story follows 19-year-old (Cillian Murphy), who is spiraling following the death of his alcoholic father. In a reckless act of self-destruction, Jonathan steals his father's ashes and drives a stolen car off a cliff. Remarkably, he survives with only a broken finger and is given a choice: prison or a three-month stay in a Dublin psychiatric hospital.
Through their shared struggles and late-night escapades, Jonathan begins to shift from someone who "doesn't want to be alive" to someone who sees the value in living.
A sensitive soul burdened by guilt over his brother's accidental death.
