Formed in 2003 by producer Vicente del Rosario, Jr., the Viva Hot Babes were a multimedia powerhouse that dominated music, film, and print media in the early to mid-2000s.

Directed by Bob Roque, the 2007 release shifted away from the group's previous softcore cinematic roles into a more unscripted, reality-competition style.

Despite being critically panned for their heavy use of double entendres, the group produced massive novelty hits like "Bulaklak," "Kikay," and "Basketbol".

Before Gone Wild , members starred in several Viva Films productions and home videos, including Hot Stuff: The Video (2003) and individual features like Maui Taylor: Sex Goddess .
